 Friday, June 29

The tour starts today from your hotel in PRAGUE. Begin your afternoon with a walking tour featuring the 1,000-year-old Hradčany Castle area, with the former Royal Palace, the imposing St. Vítus Cathedral, and the colorful Golden Lane. Then proceed to the 14th century Charles Bridge, one of Prague's loveliest and most characteristic sights with its 16 arches and 30 statues. Continue to the Old T own Square, enclosed by Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo style buildings before viewing Týn Church and its magnificent towers, the unique Astronomical Clock, St. Nicholas Cathedral and Old Town Hall. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a WELCOME DINNER in the local restaurant.


Saturday 30

Trip to picturesque medieval town of KUTNÁ HORA, part of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage. During this excursion you will see interesting and most impressive sights as the unique Gothic Cathedral of St. Barbara, the patron of saint miners, Wallachian Court (Vlašský dvůr) which is an important building, originally a Royal Mint, that once produced Prague groschen as well. Free time for lunch at city center. PM continue to SEDLEC for visit OSSUARY - Bone Church with the most interesting creations - the chandelier in the center of the nave, containing all the bones of the human body, two monstrance beside the main altar and the coat-of arms of the Schwarzenberg noble family.


Sokol Slet: July 1 – 7

Program for the Main Days of the XVI th All-Sokol Slet July 1 - 7, 2018 will be announced later.

More daily programs and / or cultural events may be added later. What you can expect:

We included a 2 day interchangeable program during the Slet as follows:


Day 1

AM free time at leisure. PM you’ll visit the most important castle in the Czech Republic - the KARLŠTEJN CASTLE - founded 650 years ago by Charles IV, King of Bohemia and of the Roman Empire. The castle was built in the 14th century as a place for safekeeping of royal treasures, especially the coronation jewels. Evening - free time in Prague.


Day 2

After breakfast we’ll depart to the most famous Bohemian spa town of KARLOVY VARY. It was named for the Bohemian king and German and Holy Roman emperor Charles (Karel) IV who allegedly found the springs in 1358 during a hunting expedition. In the 19th century, royalty came here from all over Europe for treatment. Among the rich and famous who visited Karlsbad are Goethe, Schiller, Beethoven and Chopin. The town is replete with ornate Art Nouveau spa houses, cafes, restaurant, shops and scenic promenades. Guided tour of the city will take us to the colonnade with 12 hot springs. PM, continue to MARIÁNSKÉ LÁZNĚ - the second largest spa resort in the Czech Republic founded in the 19th century. Of the 140 mineral springs in the town 39 are used for treating kidneys, respiratory and urinary disorders. Tour the Colonnade and view the “Singing fountain” in front of the main colonnade.


Sunday 8

Day trip to ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE - the royal town founded in 1265. We’ll tour the city center with its magnificent square, one of the largest in Europe. It is lined with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque houses with arcades, Samsonʼs Fountain stands in its center (dates from 1727). The five story Black Tower from the end of the 16th century rises to height of 70 meters behind two Late Gothic houses. PM continue to medieval town of ČESKÝ KRUMLOV. Guided city tour followed by free time for shopping of beautiful Bohemian Garnets and other souvenirs or more exploration of the town. You may consider to visit the second largest chateau in the Czech Republic dominating the northern part of the town that was included into the World Heritage List of UNESCO. Later PM return to Prague.


Monday 9

After breakfast, your tour ends this morning, leaving you with pleasant memories of a wonderful vacation.

Monday 9

The program for this day is in the name of fashion and luxury: We’ll visit JABLONEC nad NISOU known for production of fashion jewelry. Visit the local museum which presents the development of costume jewelry from its beginnings to the present. PM continue to TURNOV to witness production of beautiful Bohemian Garnet Jewelry. We’ll arrange for our group shopping in factory stores / in both towns. Evening is reserved for our most popular DINNER with FOLKLORE PROGRAM full of MUSIC - DANCE and lots of FUN!


Tuesday 10

Enjoy a free day to further explore the sights of PRAGUE, or perhaps indulge in the last minute shopping for some wonderful bargains including the world famous Bohemian crystal, the garnet jewelry, souvenirs and many handcrafts. There is music available everywhere and you may enjoy a concert, visit Mucha Museum, etc. Perhaps, you’ll like to visit with friends, relatives or visit ancestral village - we can arrange for you an English speaking driver who will take you there.


Wednesday 11

After breakfast, your tour ends this morning leaving you with pleasant memories of a wonderful vacation.
