DAILY TOUR PROGRAM

Day 1 – Thursday 27

Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation.

 

Day 2 – Friday 28 (D) Prague - 10 nights

The tour starts today from your hotel in PRAGUE. Begin your afternoon with a walking tour to Old Town Square, enclosed by Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo-style buildings before viewing Týn Church and its magnificent towers, the unique Astronomical Clock, St.Nicholas Cathedral, and Old Town Hall. Continue to the 14th-century Charles Bridge, one of Prague's loveliest and most characteristic sights with its 16 arches and 30 statues. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a WELCOME DINNER.

 

Day 3 - Saturday 29 (B, L)

Before noon we’ll depart to visit the largest Museum of Czech National Costumes. It is the first and only museum in the Czech Republic that presents costumes from all costume areas of the Czech Republic. You’ll enjoy seeing 260 complete costume mannequins in the museum, over 4,000 thematic exhibits, over 100 pieces of period footwear, and much more. All costumes come from the 19th and early 20th centuries. These are holiday costumes, they were worn only on special occasions, so they could be preserved in their original form. Continue to visit the medieval town of KUTNÁ HORA, part of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage. During this excursion, you will see interesting and impressive sights such as the unique Gothic Cathedral of St. Barbara, the patron of saint miners, and Wallachian Court, an important building, originally a Royal Mint, that once produced Prague groschen as well. PM continues to SEDLEC OSSUARY for visiting the “Bone Church” with the most interesting creations - the chandelier in the center of the nave, containing all the bones of the human body, two monstrances beside the main altar and the coat-of-arms of the Schwarzenberg noble family.

Day 5 – Monday, July 1 (B, LJ)

Optional trip:
After breakfast, we’ll depart to KARLOVY VARY's most famous Bohemian spa town. It was named after the Bohemian king and German and Holy Roman emperor Charles (Karel) IV who allegedly found the springs in 1358 during a hunting expedition. In the 19th century, royalty came here from all over Europe for treatment. Among the rich and famous who visited Karlsbad are Goethe, Schiller, Beethoven, and Chopin. The town is replete with ornate Art Nouveau spa houses, cafes, restaurants, shops, and scenic promenades. A guided tour of the city will take us to the colonnade with 12 hot springs. After lunch, we’ll continue to MARIÁNSKÉ LÁZNĚ - the second largest spa
resort in the Czech Republic founded in the 19th century. Of the 140 mineral springs in the town 39 are used for treating kidneys, respiratory and urinary disorders. Tour the Colonnade and view the “Singing Fountain” in front of the main colonnade.

 

Day 6 - Tuesday 2 (B, L)

Optional trip:
This day is in the name of fashion and luxury. We’ll visit JABLONEC nad NISOU known for the production of fashion jewelry. Visit the local museum which presents the development of costume jewelry from its beginnings to the present. During the second stop in TURNOV, you’ll visit the Gallery of beautiful Bohemian Garnet Jewelry. We’ll arrange for our group shopping in the factory stores / both towns.

 

Day 7 – Wednesday 3 (B, L)

Optional trip:
to ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE - the royal town founded in 1265. Tour the city center with its magnificent square, one of the largest in Europe. It is lined with Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque houses with arcades, and Samsonʼs Fountain stands in its center (dates from 1727). The five-story Black Tower from the second half of the 16th century rises to a height of 70 meters behind two Late Gothic houses. PM continues to the medieval town of ČESKÝ KRUMLOV. Guided city tour followed by free time for shopping or more exploration of the town. You may consider visiting the second largest chateau in the Czech Republic dominating the northern part of the town that was included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO. Later PM return to Prague.

 

Day 8 - Thursday 4 (B, L)

Optional trip:
to NIŽBOR to tour the RÜCKL Crystal glassworks where you can witness the manufacturing of an extensive range of cut 24% leaded crystal in a wide variety of decorations. Visiting the local shop store for bargain crystal shopping. PM continues to visit the most important castle in the Czech Republic - the KARLŠTEJN CASTLE - founded 650 years ago by Charles IV, King of Bohemia, and the Roman Empire. Later, return to PRAGUE for:
• Evening program of mass compositions.

 

Day 9 – Friday 5 (B)

Last day and Closing Ceremonies of All-Sokol Slet

 

Day 10 – Saturday 6 (B, D)

This morning we’ll depart to LIDICE to visit the Memorial dedicated to the people of the village killed by Nazis. Rest of the day at leisure in Prague. The evening is reserved for our most popular DINNER PARTY with the FOLKLORE PROGRAM full of MUSIC, DANCE, and lots of FUN! Unlimited beer wine and non-alcoholic beverages are included during the show.

 

Day 11 - Sunday 7 (B)

Enjoy a free day to further explore the sights of PRAGUE, or perhaps indulge in last-minute shopping for some wonderful bargains including the worldfamous Bohemian crystal, garnet jewelry, souvenirs, and many handicrafts. There is music available e verywhere and you may enjoy a concert.

 

Day 12 - Monday 8 (B)

After breakfast, your tour ends this morning, leaving you with pleasant memories of a wonderful vacation.
