Day 1 – Friday 9
Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation.
Day 2 – Saturday 10 (D) PRAGUE - 1 night
The tour starts today from your hotel in PRAGUE. Begin your afternoon with a walking tour to Old Town Square, enclosed by Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo style buildings before viewing Týn Church and its magnificent towers, the unique Astronomical Clock, St. Nicholas Cathedral and Old Town Hall. Continue to the 14th century Charles Bridge, one of Prague's loveliest and most characteristic sights with its 16 arches and 30 statues. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a WELCOME DINNER in the local restaurant.
Day 3 - Sunday 11 (B, L) Brno - 4 nights
Before noon we’ll depart to visit the largest museum of Czech National Costumes. It is the first and only museum in the Czech Republic that presents costumes from all costume areas of the Czech Republic. You’ll enjoy to see a total of 260 complete costume mannequins in the museum, a total of over 4,000 thematic exhibits, over 100 pieces of period footwear and much more. All costumes come from the 19th and early 20th century. These are holiday costumes, they were worn only on special occasions, so they could be preserved in their original form. PM continue to our hotel in BRNO. Free time at leisure.
Day 4 - Monday 12 (B, L)
Brno guided city tour is scheduled for this day. It includes: Church of St. Jacob, the city center with its historical architecture and other sites which are on the way to Vegetable market and Cathedral of Ss. Peter & Paul. area. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5 – Tuesday 13 (B, L)
Day trip to VIENNA - Austria. Orientation city tour by our bus along the Vienna Ring Boulevard - 4 kilometers long. It circles the city center. By walking to the city center will take us to the Schönbrunn Palace area with its surrounding buildings and the huge park. It is one of the most significant cultural monuments in Austria. The castle was built to rival French Versailles in Baroque beauty. In earlier times it served as summer residence to various Habsburg rulers. Among the other visiting sites is St. St. Stephen's Cathedral - Stephansdom, one of Vienna’s most famous sights. St. Stephen's Cathedral defines the city center and has been the heart of Vienna for centuries. It is one of the most famous Viennese sights and was built in 1147 AD. For a long time it was uncontested as highest building in Europe measuring almost 137 meters. Free time for shopping or indulge in one of the most famous specialty, the Sacher -Torte. Later PM return to our hotel in Brno.
Day 6 – Wednesday 14 (B, L)
AM depart BRNO to KROMĚŘÍŽ. In 1777, this town, located in Central Moravia became the seat of the bishops of Olomouc. The splendid Kroměříž chateau and its beautiful gardens are considered an especially attractive and well-preserved example of Baroque palatial and garden design. They played an important role in the development of Central European Baroque architecture of gardens and palaces. Guided city tour of adjoining colonnade and beautiful gardens. Free time for lunch. PM continue to OLOMOUC - a royal town since 1253. Olomouc - the oldest and the largest historical town protected by monument reserve in the Czech Republic after Prague - is full of precious monuments and landmarks. Guided city tour - View the unique Orloj Clock in the city center; most significant Cathedral of St. Wenceslas from 1109 and much more. Later continue to visit a new museum with an unique collection of more than 300 beautifully decorated “Hlaváček” accordions. Later PM return to Brno.
Day 7 - Thursday 15 (B, L) České Budějovice – 3 nights
PM, depart to TELČ. The town consist of a long square lined with arcades and church of St. James from the 14th century. Chateau complex is the most impressive architecture of the region. Free time. Later PM continue to České Budějovice.
Day 8 - Friday 16 (B, L)
AM, guided tour of the city center. The magnificent square is one of the largest in Europe. It is lined with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque houses with arcades and Samson’s Fountain in its center (from 1727). Rest of the day free at leisure.
Day 9 – Saturday 17 (B, L)
Day trip to Medieval town of ČESKÝ KRUMLOV to enjoy the “Five Petal Rose Festival” transforming the town into a Renaissance time once again. The festival harkens back to the time of the greatest development in Český Krumlov (1570). Day and night, visitors are treated to concerts; dances; daredevil performances; duels; theatrical performances; arts, crafts; processions of noble ladies and gentlemen, knights, and jugglers; a Medieval Feast; and much more not to miss!
Day 10 – Sunday 18 (B, D) Prague – 2 nights
This morning we’ll departure to PRAGUE. Free time. OPTIONAL: Trip to LIDICE for visit Memorial dedicated to the people of the village killed by Nazi. Evening is reserved for our most popular DINNER PARTY with FOLKLORE PROGRAM full of MUSIC, DANCE and lots of FUN!
Day 11 - Monday 19 (B)
Enjoy a free day to further explore the sights of PRAGUE, or perhaps indulge in last minute shopping for some wonderful bargains including the world famous Bohemian crystal, the garnet jewelry, souvenirs and many handcrafts. There is music available everywhere and you may enjoy a concert. Perhaps, you’ll like to visit with friends, relatives or visit your ancestral village – we can arrange for you an English speaking driver who will take you there.
Day 12 – Tuesday 20 (B)
After breakfast, your tour ends this morning, leaving you with pleasant memories of a wonderful vacation.
