Day 1 – Monday 18
Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation.
Day 2 – Tuesday 19 (D) PRAGUE - 1 night
The tour starts today from your hotel in PRAGUE. Begin your afternoon with a walking tour to Old Town Square, enclosed by Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo style buildings before viewing Týn Church and its magnificent towers, the unique Astronomical Clock, St. Nicholas Cathedral and Old Town Hall. Continue to the 14th century Charles Bridge, one of Prague's loveliest and most characteristic sights with its 16 arches and 30 statues. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a WELCOME DINNER in the local restaurant.
Day 3 – Wednesday 20 (B, L) Brno - 5 nights
Before noon we’ll depart to BRNO with stop in JIHLAVA founded around 1240 as the oldest mining community in Czech Republic - some 50 years before much more famous Kutná Hora! Lunch at the local restaurant. PM continue tour hotel in BRNO. Free time at leisure.
Day 4 - Thursday 21 (B, L)
Guided city tour includes: Church of St. Jacob, Vegetable market, Cathedral of Ss. Peter & Paul; Spilberg Castle area, city center and more. After lunch, we’ll enjoy river cruise on the Brno dam, taking us below the Veveří Chateau founded in the middle of the 11th century.
The tour of the chateau will take us to the representative rooms of the castle. Later PM return to our hotel.
Day 5 – Friday 22 (B, L)
Day trip to the “Folklore country”. Visit “Open Air Museum” in STRÁŽNICE with more than 60 interesting objects on an area of 16 hectares in a beautiful and peaceful environment. Folk architecture from the 18th century, Demonstrations of original construction techniques, Folk crafts, traditional farming and animal husbandry, History and development of viticulture and more.
Day 6 – Saturday 23 (B, L)
AM free time. PM depart BRNO to KROMĚŘÍŽ. In 1777, this town, located in Central Moravia became the seat of the bishops of Olomouc. The splendid Kroměříž chateau and its beautiful gardens are considered an especially attractive and well-preserved example of Baroque palatial and garden design. They played an important role in the development of Central European Baroque architecture of gardens and palaces. Guided city tour of adjoining colonnade and beautiful gardens.
Day 7 – Sunday 24 (B, L)
Morning, depart to OLOMOUC - a royal town since 1253. Olomouc - the oldest and the largest historical town protected by monument reserve in the Czech Republic after Prague - is full of precious monuments and landmarks. Olomouc is the Czech Republic's fifth city in terms of population. There is a largest pipe organ in Central Europe with 10400 pipes, the country's only Archdiocese Museum, and the largest baroque sculpture in Europe; the UNESCO - listed Holy Trinity Column. The Upper Square, surrounded by magnificent palaces, is dominated by the Holy Trinity Column (on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List) and by the Renaissance Town Hall with its Astronomical Clock and tower. The historical center is adorned with valuable ecclesiastical buildings, a number of Baroque fountains and twisting lanes. The center is enveloped by the remains of fortifications built by the Empress Maria Theresa, and exquisite park. Day 8 – Monday 25 (B, L) České Budějovice – 2 nights
AM depart to TELČ. The town consist of a long square lined with arcades and church of St. James from the 14th century. Chateau complex is the most impressive architecture of the region. Free time. After lunch we’ll continue to ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE. Free time.
Day 9 – Tuesday 26 (B, L)
AM, guided tour of the city center. The magnificent square is one of the largest in Europe. It is lined with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque houses with arcades and Samson’s Fountain in its center (from 1727). PM trip to medieval town of ČESKÝ KRUMLOV, the jewel of South Bohemia which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old town preserves, virtually intact and still vital ensemble of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque structures. Among the attractions is the second largest castle complex in the Czech Republic. Guided city tour followed by free time for shopping of beautiful Bohemian Garnets or visiting the chateau.
Day 10 – Wednesday 27 (B, D) Prague – 2 nights
After breakfast we’ll depart to PILSEN. This West Bohemian metropolis with 170,000 inhabitants is the fourth largest city in the Czech Republic. Its historical predecessor was a former watch castle dating back from the 10th century. Pilsen is known for its famous Pilsen beer – Pisner Urquell. After touring the Pilsner Brewery we’ll have lunch at the brewery restaurant followed by a free time. Later PM continue to Prague. Evening is reserved for our most popular DINNER PARTY with FOLKLORE PROGRAM full of MUSIC - DANCE and lots of FUN!
Day 11 – Thursday 28 (B)
Enjoy a free day to further explore the sights of PRAGUE, or perhaps indulge in last minute shopping for some wonderful bargains including the world famous Bohemian crystal, the garnet jewelry, souvenirs and many handcrafts. There is music available everywhere and you may enjoy a concert.
Day 12 – Friday 29 (B)
After breakfast, your tour ends this morning, leaving you with pleasant memories of a wonderful vacation.
